Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty enters MoU With PJTSAU to encourage Self Helf Groups in seed production
To enhance the economic levels of the Self Help Groups(SHG's) in Telangana State, the Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty(SERP) enters the Memorandum of Understanding with Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University (PJTSAU) on 12-06-2018, at VC's chamber in administrative office, Rajendranagar. The MoU Papers were signed by Registrar Dr. S. Sudheer kumar, and Chief Executive Officer of SERP Mrs. Pausumi Basu, in the presence of Vice Chancellor PJTSAU Dr. V. Praveen Rao.
The initial goal of this collaboration is to encourage the women farmers to take up seed production, usage of bio agents etc., with the support of PJTSAU on mutually beneficial agenda. Further the part of the MoU PJTSAU shall support in providing capacity building of SERP staff - in terms of technical aspects like seed production, pest & disease and nutrient management through regional research stations. And also provide the Technical support for value addition in millets through millet incubation center and also in pulses.
As part of this collaboration the University shall extend support SERP By providing opportunity to utilize the organic production practices and Labs for testing of organic products of SERP for scientific validation.
